Local Sports Radio Show Host Added to Golden Hurricane Radio Network Crew
Jeremie Poplin will handle sidelines reporting for TU football broadcasts this season
Tulsa, Oklahoma –– The University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane Radio Network/Learfield Sports announced today that Jeremie Poplin will be joining the radio broadcast crew as sideline reporter.
Poplin is the current co-host and producer for “the Big Show” on AM1430 The Buzz. Poplin is a veteran of 12 years on radio in Tulsa, including sideline and play-by-play stints with Jenks High School and Holland Hall High School. He also has experience in TV sideline reporting with COX Communications.
TU’s Director of Sports Broadcasting and “Voice of the Golden Hurricane” Bruce Howard said, “we’re looking forward to working with Jeremie, and I’m confident he’ll bring great perspective to the broadcast, just as Chris Kaiser had for the last 11 years”. Kaiser resigned his sideline duties to spend more time following his sons, one of whom is playing college football, and another playing high school football.
Poplin will join Howard and analyst Rick Couri beginning with Tulsa’s season opener on Aug. 28th against the Tulane Green Wave. Game time is 7:00 p.m. Airtime is at 6:00 p.m.
All games and the Bill Blankenship Radio Call-in Show can be heard on NEWS 102.3 & AM 740 KRMG Radio this season.
