Tulsa Falls To Auburn In NIT Championship Game

Trailing by as many as 21 in the opening half, Tulsa staged an epic comeback in the second half to force overtime but ultimately fell in the NIT Finals to Auburn, 92-86, on Sunday in Indianapolis. Tulsa's season ends with 30 wins, the second most in program history.

David Green led the offense with 25 points, along with six rebounds and a pair of blocks in his final collegiate game. Tylen Riley added 20 points while Ade Popoola also finished in double figures with 13.

Auburn outscored Tulsa 7-2 in the final minute of play to send the game to overtime. In the overtime period, Tulsa was outscored 14-8 and couldn't get to the free throw line while Auburn went 5-of-6 from the charity stripe to seal the game.
