QB Geno Smith is back with the team that drafted him as the New York Jets re-acquired his services today and Stugotz & Co. try to make sense of the decision. They wonder if the Jets have already decided to tank for Arch Manning or Dante Moore before the season even starts.
Taylor Vippolus:“Is he going to be bad enough that Arch Manning, Dante Moore, one of those two, come on down at the top of the next year's draft?”
John “Stugotz” Weiner: “You're celebrating today. That's what you're doing. You're happy we got Geno Smith, right?”
Taylor: “Yes, I think Kyler Murray is too talented; that he could just will them to six, seven wins.”
Stugotz: “Will them?”
Taylor: “I think Geno has shown you he can be a two-win quarterback if you need him to be, because he just did it.”
