Tampa Bay Buccaneers Must Re-Sign Red Hot Jameis Winston

Dan Hellie: “Jameis Winston is the first quarterback in NFL history with back-to-back games of 450+ passing yards. The first EVER with all the yards Drew Brees and Peyton Manning have thrown for?? If you are the Bucs, you do not have a choice right now, you HAVE to hold onto Jameis for another year.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Dan Hellie of NFL Network, filling in as host on The Rich Eisen Show, explain why the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offseason dilemma around the future of quarterback Jameis Winston is no longer much of a predicament at all, as the 25-year-old former no. 1 overall pick is one of the hottest quarterbacks in the league.

The impending free agent currently leads the NFL in passing yards and is second in touchdown passes for a Buccaneers team that has won four straight games under offensive-minded head coach Bruce Arians, and offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich.

Hellie says it’s now painfully obvious that the Bucs have to bring back Winston via a franchise tag or a multi-year deal, as the embattled franchise is starting to see the All Pro potential Winston really possesses. Hellie says you can’t forget about Winston’s costly interceptions, as he currently leads the league in that category, but says ‘5,000 yards passing’ is a number that very few quarterbacks on earth can accomplish.

Check out the video above as Hellie and the crew agrees that the writing is on the wall for another re-up coming from the Buccaneers and Winston.
