University of Oklahoma linebacker Owen Heinecke is granted another year of eligibility. A Cleveland County judge has ruled in favor of Heinecke, who had sued the NCAA in Cleveland County. Heinecke has played the past three seasons at Oklahoma after transferring from Ohio State in 2022. The NCAA previously denied another year of eligibility for Heinecke arguing he was out of eligibility because he played in three games with Ohio State's lacrosse team before joining Oklahoma football as a walk-on.
