The SEC Just Ain’t What It Used to Be

Notre Dame took care of Georgia at the Sugar Bowl in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal last night leaving newcomer Texas as the only remaining SEC team in the CFP. While Dan isn’t convinced this indicates real parity in college football, it’s clear the SEC no longer has a stranglehold on the path to the National Championship.

Dan Patrick: “Do I want to say that it’s parity? I don’t, but I do think you have more teams now knowing that you can get into the playoffs, so you’ll spend money to be able to make money, to be able get into the playoffs. Now there’s more hope instead of; hey, they’re just going to take an SEC team and a Big Ten team.”
