Dan and the Danettes react to the announcement that the NFL will no longer have a Pro Bowl game, and it appears nobody is at all disappointed. Besides, being named an All-Pro still carries far more weight than playing in a Pro Bowl that had become less about the league’s best and more about which alternates were still willing to show up.
Dan Patrick: “This was something we just didn't care about. It was being forced down our throat. ‘Hey, the Pro Bowl!’ Okay, I only care who gets mentioned, who gets named to first team Pro Bowl. That's it… The players don't want to be out there, and I don't blame them!”
