The Tampa Rays staved off elimination in an extra-inning thriller last night in Game 4 of the World Series and people are asking why the Brewers didn’t bring in fireballer Jacob Misiorowski to shut down the Rays late in the game. Keeping him fresh to start Game 5 tonight gives him a shot to be the winning pitcher in a World Series clinching win and cement his legacy.
Dan Patrick: “So we can play the game of, do you bring in, should they have brought in The Miz? And yes, you can play the result and say, well, they should have brought him in. That bullpen has been great. Why would you get at that point and you say, ‘I don't trust my bullpen?’ That's not who Pat Murphy is. So, he gets the clean start coming up tonight. I think that's the wise decision. And this is where Miz can go out there and shut ‘em down, and you could be the World Series hero.”
